Summary

Job title: EDI Data Analyst

100% Remote, but open to Hybrid for training (Mason, OH)

Length of Assignment: September 2, 2026 through December 31, 2026

Job Description:
The EDI Data Analyst will provide seasonal production support within Membership Operations team, primarily supporting electronic eligibility file processing. This role will monitor and manage incoming eligibility files, review processing results and exceptions, troubleshoot file and data issues, and assist with ensuring eligibility updates are processed accurately and timely.
The position will work within established eligibility processes and systems and will require someone who is comfortable working with data, identifying patterns or discrepancies, researching issues, and following technical processes. This is not a traditional data-entry role. The ideal candidates will be technically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Specific Skills Needed:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with electronic data files and data-intensive processes
  • Ability to identify, research, and troubleshoot data discrepancies or processing errors
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn technical systems and processes quickly
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Top 3–5 Mandatory/Minimum Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience working with data, file processing, EDI, eligibility, enrollment, or another technical/transactional environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and follow documented technical processes
  • Ability to work independently while meeting production deadlines and service expectations
Top 3–5 Desirable Attributes/Qualifications:
  • Previous EDI or electronic file-processing experience
  • Experience with healthcare eligibility, enrollment, benefits, insurance, or similar data
  • Familiarity with eligibility file formats, including ANSI 834, is a plus
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment
  • Strong technical aptitude and curiosity when researching problems

Education:
  • Flexible regarding a specific degree. Relevant hands-on experience and technical aptitude are more important for this assignment. Ideally, candidates would have 1–3+ years of experience in a data-processing, EDI, eligibility/enrollment, operations, or similarly technical role.
  • Candidates with less direct experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to learn technical processes quickly.
