Detailed Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong experience in production support, monitoring, and incident management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java-based applications, observability tools, and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems, preferably in the banking or financial services domain.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of production systems and applications.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents (L1/L2 support) with minimal downtime and service disruption.

·         Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with development teams to fix defects based on priority.

·         Identify and track application defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams.

·         Implement and manage RFCs (Request for Changes) in production environments.

·         Work in Agile/Scrum environments to support continuous delivery and system reliability.

·         Ensure system stability through performance monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue resolution.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and operations.

·         Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.

Must Have Skills:

•  Strong experience in Core Java and Spring Boot.

•  Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools:

·         Splunk

·         Kibana

·         Grafana

•  Experience with databases such as:

·         PostgreSQL

·         MongoDB

•  Hands-on experience with:

·         ServiceNow (incident/change management)

·         REST APIs and microservices architecture

·         CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

•  Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

•  Experience in production support or SRE roles, preferably in the banking domain.

•  Strong understanding of L1/L2 support, debugging, and performance tuning.
