Job Title: IT Project Manager / Application Support Lead (Azure & Data Modernization)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in application support, Azure cloud technologies, database analysis, and enterprise technology modernization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading IT projects, supporting business-critical applications, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and driving cloud and data transformation initiatives.

This role requires a blend of project management, technical leadership, business analysis, application support, and stakeholder management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end IT project management activities including planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, risk management, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, project schedules, status reports, RAID logs, project documentation, and executive-level reporting.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate activities across business teams, technical teams, vendors, and third-party service providers.
  • Provide application support for enterprise applications, websites, databases, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, system integration, and connectivity issues.
  • Support software implementation, deployment, configuration, testing, upgrades, and production support activities.
  • Perform requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, business process analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct data storage assessments to identify performance issues, storage optimization opportunities, capacity planning requirements, and modernization strategies.
  • Analyze databases, data environments, and legacy systems to identify dependencies, risks, scalability concerns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support Azure cloud modernization initiatives including migration planning, cloud architecture reviews, proof-of-concept activities, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Develop current-state assessments, future-state architecture recommendations, migration strategies, and technical reports.
  • Manage vendor contracts, software subscriptions, procurement requests, licensing, and professional services engagements.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status meetings, governance reviews, stakeholder communications, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Support testing activities including system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, and production validation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, support documentation, and training materials.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology projects and software implementation initiatives.
  • Experience providing application support for business-critical systems and applications.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with database analysis, data management, and data storage optimization.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, vendor management, and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Experience creating project plans, project documentation, status reporting, and executive communications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification or equivalent Azure experience.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Data Lake, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, and cloud migration tools.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Experience with ShareFile, Tableau, Drupal, Acquia, and enterprise content management platforms.
  • Experience with chatbot implementation, AI solutions, document processing, OCR technologies, or knowledge management platforms.
  • Experience with cloud migration, application modernization, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading requirements gathering workshops and business analysis activities.
