Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced RPGLE Programmer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in RPGLE programming, with a focus on developing and maintaining applications on IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems. This role involves working closely with business analysts and other IT professionals to design, code, test, and implement software solutions that meet our business needs. This remote role requires a proactive individual with a strong problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in RPG IV (ILE RPG), RPG Free, CL, and SQL.
Strong understanding of DB2 databases and data access optimization.
Excellent analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of modernizing legacy RPG applications is highly desirable.
Familiarity with additional programming languages and platforms is a plus.
Adaptability and flexibility to handle rapidly changing priorities and tasks.
Collaboration skills to work as part of a team and with other departments.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
