Genesis10 is seeking a Solution Architect. This is a 3-month hybrid contract to hire position with a client located in Columbus, OH. This position can also be located in Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL.
Compensation: $80.00-90.00/HR W2
Description: We are seeking an Enterprise Payments Solution Architect focused on the Wires product to define and govern endtoend technology solutions that support strategic business initiatives. This role is responsible for translating business needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable solution designs aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and best practices.
The Solution Architect partners closely with business leaders, product teams, engineering, infrastructure, and other architects to ensure solutions support longterm business objectives, operational stability, and technology modernization. This role operates at the initiative or program level and provides architectural leadership across multiple applications and platforms.
Responsibilities: - Define solution approaches and highlevel architecture designs aligned to enterprise standards and targetstate strategies
- Translate business requirements into endtoend technical solutions across applications, platforms, integrations, and data flows
- Ensure solutions meet nonfunctional requirements including scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and maintainability
- Present and defend solution designs through architecture review and approval forums
- Ensure adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards, patterns, and governance processes
- Identify architectural risks, constraints, and technical debt, recommending paths to remediation
- Partner with product owners, engineering teams, infrastructure, vendors, and SMEs to guide architecture decisions throughout delivery
- Review detailed designs to ensure alignment with approved solution architecture
- Support delivery teams by resolving crossdomain and crossplatform design challenges
- Contribute to and maintain solution and domain roadmaps, supporting evolution from current to future state
- Evaluate emerging technologies and patterns for applicability to enterprise solutions
- Promote reuse of standards, patterns, and best practices across initiatives
Responsibilities: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience across multiple IT disciplines, including experience in at least two of the following:
- Solution or application architecture
- Application development
- Middleware or integration technologies
- Database management or operations
- Infrastructure or platform technologies
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to influence without authority across teams and domains
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery pragmatism
- Commitment to architecture standards, quality, and longterm sustainability
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting financial services or regulated environments
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns (APIs, eventdriven, batch, messaging)
- Working knowledge with Wires application
- Experience collaborating across business, product, and engineering teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain architectural decisions to technical and nontechnical audiences
