Data Modeler (Commercial Life Sciences)

job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to help design and implement a Databricks unified data platform. In this role, you will lead the creation of common data models and scalable data products, such as Patient Journey and HCP 360, powering advanced analytics across our commercial life sciences ecosystem.

responsibilities:

• Design robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models across core domains including Patient, HCP, HCO, Product, and Payer.
• Establish schema and modeling standards for Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers using Databricks Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture.
• Create source-to-target mappings, define business rules, and design reusable data structures to support enterprise consumption.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams on identity resolution, data governance, and patient privacy frameworks.

qualifications:

Proven experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling using advanced SQL techniques.

Hands-on experience designing enterprise data models within Databricks and Delta Lake environments (Medallion Architecture).

Deep technical familiarity with commercial life sciences datasets, such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva CRM, or Specialty Pharmacy/Claims feeds.

Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week at our Cambridge, MA or Exton, PA offices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior success delivering analytics models for Patient Journey or HCP 360 commercial use cases.

Strong background in data lineage, metadata management, and patient data privacy standards.
