About the Role

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be part of an engineering team focused on supporting our Fabrics supply chain. You will work hands-on in our manufacturing area to identify and drive opportunities for problem solving and continuous improvement in alignment with our plant goals centered around profitable growth.

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Pay and Benefits:
  • $110,000 - $147,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations in the manufacturing area by monitoring process data and metrics, investigating issues, and developing and executing on action plans for problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Understand critical process parameters to ensure the process reliably delivers fit for use products that meet all specifications and customer requirements
  • Plan and execute technical work using statistical techniques including Design of Experiments (DoE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Apply formal problem-solving techniques to determine root cause of process, product, and equipment issues and develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans
  • Partner cross-functionally to validate changes and scale-up new products
  • Create procedures and provide training and coaching to other technical and manufacturing associates
  • Document work via technical reports, presentations, and the quality system

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong history of leveraging critical thinking to drive problem solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Demonstrated ability to apply engineering fundamentals and statistical tools to drive development, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and drive work to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables
  • Proven history of documenting and communicating work effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with lamination, coating, or imbibing processes
  • Experience with web handling
