  • Provide clear documentation of governance artifacts (policies, standards, guidance, and decision records) to support transparency and consistency.

Data Quality Management & Issue Resolution

  • Coordinate issue intake, prioritization, tracking, and closure, ensuring repeatable remediation and reduced recurrence over time.
  • Provide regular reporting on data quality trends, policy adherence, and governance exceptions to stakeholders and leadership.

Metadata, Cataloging, and Data Lineage
  • Promote and support metadata practices (cataloging, documentation, and lineage) that improve discoverability, traceability, and consistent use of data assets.
  • Partner with platform/tool owners to ensure the organization maintains a usable catalog of data assets and business definitions that can be found and understood by intended consumers.

Data Access, Privacy, and Compliance (in partnership with enterprise teams)
  • Work with Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance partners to ensure governance expectations align with enterprise policies for appropriate access, secure usage, and regulatory compliance.
  • Help ensure governance includes practical controls and auditable processes for sensitive data handling, retention considerations, and policy compliance.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, information governance, or related roles in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience creating or operating governance processes (policies/standards, stewardship models, issue management, governance reporting).
  • Experience partnering across business and technical teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and change leadership skills, including the ability to make governance easy to understand and adopt.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with metadata and cataloging concepts (business glossary, catalog, lineage) and how they enable consistent reporting and trusted analytics.
  • Experience working in regulated or control-oriented domains where governance and auditability are important.
  • Exposure to common governance tooling (catalog/metadata platforms) and workflows that support policy enforcement and monitoring.
