Summary

Description

  • Supporting the design, implementation, and testing of modern web-based applications and services for Department of Defense (DoD) C6ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) initiatives
  • Contributing to full-stack development projects, creating user-friendly interfaces, and helping integrate back end services that enable secure data exchange and decision-support capabilities across a variety of DoD platforms

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience (academic projects, coursework, or personal work) with:
    • JavaScript/TypeScript
    • React (or other modern front-end frameworks)
  • Node.js (Express or similar)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) and completion of at least two years of relevant coursework

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and consumption
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab)
  • Exposure to database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) and cloud services (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and an interest in DoD cyber-security standards
    Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Prior internship or project experience in full-stack development is a plus

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic travel: Up to 10 % of the internship (approximately one week) for site visits, briefings, or collaborative sessions at other DoD locations
