Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Architect with direct experience building, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure specifically to support Amazon Bedrock environments. The primary focus of this role is designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including networking, IAM, account provisioning, and Bedrock service integrations.

The ideal candidate must have personally developed Terraform modules and deployed AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through automated CI/CD pipelines. This is an infrastructure-focused role requiring practical AWS engineering experience, not simply architectural oversight or experience consuming generative AI APIs.

Key Responsibilities

1. AWS Bedrock Infrastructure Development – Highest Priority

• Personally design, build, and deploy AWS infrastructure to support Amazon Bedrock environments.
• Configure and manage Amazon Bedrock access, foundation models, and model-related infrastructure.
• Implement AWS infrastructure and service integrations required to securely access and operate Bedrock.
• Configure and expose foundational Bedrock API capabilities, including listing available models and invoking models.
• Manage Bedrock model access, configuration, and lifecycle requirements.

2. Terraform & Infrastructure as Code – Highest Priority

• Develop reusable Terraform modules to provision and manage AWS infrastructure supporting Bedrock.
• Write, maintain, and deploy Terraform code for AWS accounts, IAM, VPCs, VPC endpoints, networking, and related services.
• Personally execute infrastructure deployments using Terraform rather than relying solely on existing automation or infrastructure teams.
• Integrate Terraform-based IaC deployments into the client's existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish repeatable, automated infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.

3. AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Networking

• Provision and configure AWS accounts and associated infrastructure.
• Design and implement IAM roles, policies, permissions, and instance profiles.
• Build and manage VPCs, VPC endpoints, subnets, security groups, and networking components.
• Ensure secure connectivity between AWS services and Amazon Bedrock.
• Apply AWS security and infrastructure best practices.

4. Observability & FinOps

• Configure CloudWatch for infrastructure monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Establish observability practices for monitoring infrastructure health, availability, and performance.
• Monitor AWS resource utilization and implement cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Apply FinOps principles to improve infrastructure efficiency and manage AWS spending.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience building and deploying AWS infrastructure specifically supporting Amazon Bedrock.
• Strong Terraform experience, including personally writing reusable Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure.
• Experience deploying Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code through CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, account provisioning, VPCs, VPC endpoints, and networking.
• Practical experience configuring and managing Amazon Bedrock, including foundation model access and model management.
• Working knowledge of Bedrock APIs, including List Foundation Models and Invoke Model.
• Experience with AWS CloudWatch, infrastructure monitoring, and observability.
• Understanding of FinOps, AWS cost monitoring, and cloud resource optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise-grade infrastructure for generative AI and LLM workloads.
• Experience with AWS security, governance, and multi-account architectures.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning across multiple environments.
• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps certifications.
