Job Title :: DevOps Engineer

Location: Urbandale, IA 50322

Duration: Contract For 1+ years

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud automation solutions for AWS environments, infrastructure management, and operational enablement initiatives.
  • Develop scalable automation tools using Python, Boto3, Terraform, and TypeScript.
  • Serve as a senior technical contributor, writing high-quality code independently with minimal supervision.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and modern DevOps practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule and provide off-hours support when required.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams to support strategic ISG initiatives and cloud transformation projects.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote development best practices.
  • Develop automated testing frameworks using PYTest, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and test automation methodologies.
  • Support cloud cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives through automation, monitoring, and reporting solutions.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • AWS Certification (Developer Associate, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer).
  • 4+ years of experience with:
    • Python
    • Boto3
    • Terraform
    • TypeScript
    • GitHub Actions CI/CD
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Test Automation, and PYTest.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% as needed.
