FTT will require proof of status prior to employment. General Job Summary:This position requires a strong interest in controls engineering related to turbomachinery for gas turbine engines, control systems, vehicle integration and development rigs. You will be provided with a mentor to learn controls engineering for gas turbine engines, engineering tools and processes, and aircraft systems.
Essential Job Functions:- Designs and supports control systems that enable aircraft mechanical, propulsion, component structures, systems, and processes
- Applies electronic control systems, designs, and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines
- Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans, and supporting testing and validation of products
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Uses computer-aided design and analysis tools to perform complex engineering tasks
- Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new or modified assemblies and components
- Documents changes through a formal engineering change notification process
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
- Works on problems of limited scope
- Normally receives detailed instructions on all work
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements
- Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must be able to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status

Experience and SkillsEducation and Experience:- BS/MS/PhD in applicable Engineering field
