Position OverviewWe are looking for a senior data scientist to join our team at DIA.
ResponsibilitiesWork with complex data sets to solve real world problems. Support the warfighter and policy makers with decision making.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience using data science programming languages, such as Python or R
- Experience creating ETL pipelines, including querying APIs, cleaning and conditioning data, and creating schemas for data storage
- Experience with version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods
- Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
- Ability to develop solutions, integrate, and extend free and open-source software (FOSS) or COTS products
- Ability to generate data visualizations with tools, such as Kibana, Tableau, or Power BI
- TS/SCI clearance and willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph #qinetiqclearedjob
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in data science, or 12+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, and SIGINT, and the data and tools associated with these disciplines
- Experience with intelligence or operations analysis in the DoD or Intelligence Community
- Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL
- Experience working with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLM)
- Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
- Knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Pay TransparencyThe salary range for this role is $125,000- $130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
