Position Overview

We are looking for a senior data scientist to join our team at DIA.

Responsibilities

Work with complex data sets to solve real world problems. Support the warfighter and policy makers with decision making.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience using data science programming languages, such as Python or R
  • Experience creating ETL pipelines, including querying APIs, cleaning and conditioning data, and creating schemas for data storage
  • Experience with version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods
  • Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
  • Ability to develop solutions, integrate, and extend free and open-source software (FOSS) or COTS products
  • Ability to generate data visualizations with tools, such as Kibana, Tableau, or Power BI
  • TS/SCI clearance and willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in data science, or 12+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, and SIGINT, and the data and tools associated with these disciplines
  • Experience with intelligence or operations analysis in the DoD or Intelligence Community
  • Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience working with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLM)
  • Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
  • Knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $125,000- $130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
