As a Staff Engineer you will
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Skills :
- Strong programming skills in Python, Shell/Bash, Java and C/C++
- Familiarity with compliance suites at OS-level like Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS and Chip-level like ARM SystemReady, SBSA, BBR is a plus
- Strong understanding of core OS concepts such as memory management, scheduling, NUMA, storage, virtualization, and secure boot.
- Deep understanding of server workloads and performance benchmarking for data center environment
- Deep expertise in software quality principles, ARM-based architectures, Linux systems
- Proven expertise in developing automated test solutions, managing source code repositories, implementing CI workflows, scripting, and building robust test frameworks
- Contributions to open-source software and upstreaming is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Experience with real-world server workloads, performance optimization, and practical deployment scenarios
Key responsibilities:
As a Staff Engineer you will
- Gather requirements and define effective test strategies, including planning and developing new test content, processes, and frameworks.
- Drive technical excellence by setting high standards for test automation, quality, and compliance across projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Influence cross-functional decisions by providing strategic input on test frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve testability and upstream fixes where applicable.
- Incorporate OEM requirements and feedback to enhance test solutions across multiple products, and automate industry standard benchmarks for CPU validation
- Leverage common test methods and frameworks in partnership with technology teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Apply creativity and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges and navigate novel circumstances.
