Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Workday Systems Administrator to support both production operations and ongoing Workday implementation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Workday Security, Integrations, Payroll, Adaptive Planning, Business Processes, and Reporting.
This role requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex production issues, manage security and access requests, monitor integrations, and collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Workday System Administrator supporting production and implementation activities.
- Manage Workday Security Administration, including security roles, access levels, security groups, and user provisioning.
- Configure and modify Business Processes and Business Rules as required.
- Support Workday Payroll and Adaptive Planning environments following go-live.
- Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot approximately 40 Workday integrations.
- Investigate integration failures and coordinate resolution with technical and business teams.
- Partner with third-party vendors and implementation partners on integration testing, validation, and go-live activities.
- Provide production support and resolve issues submitted through the ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot system, process, integration, security, and user access issues.
- Create and modify Workday Reports and identify data within the Workday data architecture.
- Validate data and reporting accuracy with business stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing, validation, and implementation activities.
- Participate in project meetings, implementation activities, and go-live readiness/checklists.
- Communicate technical issues, root causes, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, project leadership, contractors, vendors, and business teams.
Required Qualifications
- Strong senior-level experience as a Workday Administrator / Workday Systems Administrator.
- Hands-on expertise with Workday Security Administration.
- Experience configuring security roles, security groups, access controls, business processes, and business rules.
- Strong experience with Workday Integrations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and validation.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Strong Workday reporting experience, including creating and modifying custom reports.
- Understanding of the Workday data architecture.
- Experience supporting both production environments and Workday implementations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Workday reporting experience.
- SQL knowledge for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting multiple Workday modules.
- Experience with large-scale Workday implementations and go-live activities.
- Experience working with third-party Workday implementation or consulting partners.
- Experience coordinating integration testing and validation with external vendors.
