Job Description:
Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst

Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst to join a delivery and development team. This is a hybrid role spanning business analysis, data analysis, and validation, with a focus on video-product usage analytics. The position is most closely aligned with a Business Analyst, but candidates from Product Owner or Data Analyst backgrounds could also be successful. You will leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to build a complete picture of the customer experience and translate user data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business and user requirements.
  • Develop detailed process flows, use cases, and other analytical artifacts to support solution design.
  • Utilize project management software like Jira to write complex user stories.
  • Serve as the primary product owner, managing the analytics SDK's backlog and representing requirements for new capabilities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from various sources, including video-product usage analytics.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate functionality and quality.
  • Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work fluently with modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, draft requirements, and explore data.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a hybrid business analyst, product owner, and/or data analyst role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Proven experience using project management tools like Jira to write complex user stories.
  • Experience in quality assurance and software testing practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Hands-on experience querying cloud data lakes/warehouses (e.g., AWS Athena, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted/agentic tools with a critical eye for validating output.
  • Working knowledge of prompt construction for data and documentation workflows.
  • Video analytics experience (e.g., video-product usage data, streaming metrics).
  • Code development skills; experience with Python, SQL, YAML, and Git.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics/data pipelines (e.g., dbt) and CI/CD-based delivery.
  • Experience in a large enterprise environment.
