Simulation Engineer Python, Optimization, San Jose, CA JPC - 70319

We have an immediate opportunity for a Simulation Engineer to model complex operational processes and evaluate proposed changes before implementation. This position will develop simulations for settings such as warehousing, logistics networks, and manufacturing lines using Python and tools such as SimPy, AnyLogic, or FlexSim.

The engineer will perform what-if analyses involving layouts, staffing, process logic, and equipment. The work includes preparing input data with subject matter experts, representing process variability with statistical distributions, and verifying model behavior against historical results.

Experience with discrete event and agent-based simulation and operations research techniques such as queueing theory and mathematical optimization is needed. Advanced SQL, Java customization of AnyLogic, and integration with AI or reinforcement learning are valuable.

This is a 100% onsite position in San Jose, California.
