Summary

Microsoft Dynamics Functional Consultant maps business requirements to Dynamics 365 (CRM or ERP) functionalities, handling system configuration, testing, and training to deliver tailored business solutions. They bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders to optimize business processes. Key tasks include gap analysis, designing solutions, and managing application lifecycles. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conducting workshops to understand client needs and conducting fit-gap analysis.
  • System Configuration & Design: Implementing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, CRM) to meet functional requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Advising clients on industry best practices and improving existing business processes.
  • Testing & Implementation: Leading user acceptance testing (UAT), developing user documentation, and managing data migration.
  • User Training & Support: Providing expert training and post-go-live support to end-users.
  • Documentation: Translating business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. [, , , , , ]
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of business processes, such as Finance, Supply Chain, or Customer Engagement.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (D365 FO, Business Central, or CRM).
  • Technical Familiarity: Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure DevOps, and lifecycle services.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
  • Experience: Typically 3+ years of experience in implementation projects, with at least 1-3 full-cycle implementations.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are highly preferred.
