Summary

Role: Senior Systems Analyst (Windows/PowerShell/AD)
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Rate: $50/hour W2
Schedule: Fully Onsite

Project Overview
This role supports a highly visible and innovative initiative within renewable energy. The position requires a broad technical skill set supporting both internally developed and vendor-supplied applications, many of which are new to the energy industry. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, comfortable working in uncharted technical environments, and able to investigate complex issues involving applications, infrastructure, networks, and databases to deliver effective solutions.

Top Required Technical Skills

Extensive PowerShell scripting experience
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft / Windows Server environments
Strong expertise with Active Directory
Proven experience leading large-scale migrations and system upgrades
Experience supporting vendor-provided applications

Key Responsibilities

System Analysis & Design: Analyze existing systems and business processes to gather requirements and design technical solutions
Software Development: Write, test, and debug programs to meet defined specifications
System Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting for applications and systems
Application Support: Install, configure, and support both internal and third-party/vendor applications
Collaboration: Partner with business users, developers, and IT teams to understand requirements and communicate technical concepts
Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and user guides
Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex and unique technical issues in a largely greenfield environment

Skill Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work independently across multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to remain composed in high-intensity or high-pressure situations

General understanding of networks and databases to fine-tune application performance

5+ years of directly related professional experience

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required
Preferred disciplines:
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Mathematics

Preferred Industry Experience

Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred
