Audio/Visual (A/V) Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Audio/Visual (A/V) Engineer for a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, commissioning, and supporting commercial A/V systems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation and configuration of A/V systems including:

  • Control Systems

  • Digital Signal Processors (DSP)

  • Matrix Switchers

  • Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems

  • Other commercial A/V equipment

• Commission new A/V installations and provide field engineering support

• Load, test, and troubleshoot code/configurations for A/V, VTC, and DSP systems

• Read, interpret, and edit A/V design drawings and electronic schematics

• Perform programming changes under the guidance of a lead programmer

• Troubleshoot and repair A/V hardware and system issues

• Use hand tools, power tools, and other A/V industry tools safely and effectively

• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of audio, video, and control signal flow

• Hands-on experience with A/V equipment from vendors such as:

  • Crestron, AMX, Extron, Cisco, ClearOne (or similar)

• Experience configuring, loading, and testing control code/configurations

• Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing A/V systems

• Ability to read and follow A/V schematics, drawings, and technical documentation

• Ability to:

  • Operate hand and power tools

  • Climb ladders

  • Lift up to 75 lbs (pre-employment medical exam required)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
