Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Experience with computer system assembly, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience with PC hardware assembly, operation, and debugging.
  • Experience handling computer components in an ESD-safe environment.
  • Experience with inventory management processes.
  • Experience testing CPUs and validating system performance.
  • Experience using issue tracking systems such as JIRA or similar tools.
  • Previous experience working in an RMA team environment preferred.

Responsibilities or Duties:

  • Assemble and validate benchtop computer platforms in the laboratory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system issues.
  • Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, and assessment of systems.
  • Flash BIOS versions, update firmware, and install operating systems.
  • Conduct visual inspection and cleaning of CPUs.
  • Test CPUs on multiple systems using proprietary test suites and log results accurately.
  • Manage inventory of hardware components and CPUs in the laboratory.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics and communicate with the Global Logistics team regarding shipments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of system activities and testing results.

Should Have:

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory and hardware testing environments.

  • Hardware Troubleshooting and Debugging.
  • BIOS Flashing and Firmware Updates.
  • CPU Testing and Validation.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • JIRA or Issue Tracking Systems.
  • System Maintenance.
  • Documentation and Reporting.

Qualification and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
