We are seeking a full-time Senior IT Manager to join our client as a hands-on strategic leader responsible who will be overseeing enterprise IT infrastructure and the successful delivery of technology initiatives. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong project and program management capabilities, including Agile and hybrid methodologies. The Senior IT Manager ensures IT systems are secure, scalable, and reliable while driving projects that align technology investments with business objectives.

• Location: Sacramento, CA (hybrid)
• Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000 per year plus benefits

What You ll Do:

• Lead enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networking, cloud, Microsoft 365/Azure) ensuring availability, security, and scalability.
• Own disaster recovery, business continuity, lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
• Lead and deliver multiple concurrent IT and infrastructure projects using Agile/hybrid methodologies.
• Champion Agile delivery, continuous improvement, and OT sprint management (Ignition platform).
• Manage and develop IT teams; set goals, coach performance, and build a high-accountability culture.
• Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and AI governance/guardrails.
• Develop IT roadmaps, manage budgets, and oversee vendors, MSPs, and consultants.
• Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for business stakeholders.

What Gets You the Job:

• Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure leadership
• 4+ years of project or program management experience delivering complex IT initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Server Management and Microsoft 365.
• Experience working in the manufacturing industry and working with SCADA such as Ignition, Wonderware or similar.
• Experience working with virtualization platforms (vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and disaster recovery.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, monitoring tools, and service management.
• Must have strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must have the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications are a plus including PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar.
