Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Ping Federated Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of identity federation solutions using PingFederate. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), and federated authentication technologies. This role is critical in delivering secure, seamless access to applications and services across multiple environments and domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deploy federated identity solutions leveraging PingFederate.

• Configure and manage SSO and federated authentication protocols, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and related standards.

• Integrate PingFederate with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.

• Lead the implementation, deployment, and configuration of PingFederate in complex and large-scale environments.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams, promoting IAM best practices.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable IAM solutions.

• Ensure all federated identity implementations adhere to organizational security policies and regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.

• Implement advanced security controls, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and risk-based authentication mechanisms.

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues related to PingFederate and federated identity services.

• Continuously optimize IAM solutions for performance, scalability, and high availability.

• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks.

• Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and external clients on PingFederate and federated identity solutions.

• Collaborate with Ping Identity support and other technology vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Assess, recommend, and implement new tools, features, or enhancements to strengthen IAM capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and federated identity solutions.

• Proven expertise with PingFederate, including installation, configuration, and system integration.

• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.

• Experience with cloud-based IAM platforms (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory) is advantageous.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Experience working with REST APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ping Identity certifications, such as PingFederate or PingAccess.

• Experience utilizing DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible) to automate IAM workflows.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and modern security frameworks.
