About the Role As the
VP, Production Operations , you are the architect of the agency's execution engine. You will provide the strategic vision and operational framework necessary to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary work at scale while safeguarding margin and quality. Reporting to the SVP of Implementation & Transformation, you are responsible for the health, efficiency, and evolution of our delivery ecosystem.
You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and ground-level execution, ensuring our global resource pool is optimized and our delivery methodologies are future-proofed. Your leadership will define our workflow and performance standards by embedding agentic AI flows into our core processes, and maintain these processes with the evolution of the macro tech landscape.
Executive Responsibilities Strategic Delivery Architecture & Scalability - Design & Governance: Engineer and mandate global delivery standards that ensure consistency across diverse workstreams. You won't just manage processes; you will build the "Operating System" of the agency.
- Change Management: Lead organizational shifts in delivery methodology, ensuring the agency remains agile and responsive to evolving client demands and market conditions.
- Operational Excellence: Define and monitor the North Star metrics for delivery (e.g., Utilization vs. Realization, Net Margin, and Delivery Quality Scores).
Global Resource & Profitability Management - Workforce Planning: Architect sophisticated resource management strategies that balance internal capacity with external freelance/partner networks to maximize agility and profitability.
- Margin Protection: Partner with Finance and Account leadership to oversee project burn, prevent scope creep, and ensure that delivery models are structurally sound and profitable.
- Escalation Leadership: Serve as the ultimate authority for high-stakes operational risks, resolving systemic delivery friction and client-facing execution crises.
Technology & AI Transformation - The Tooling Ecosystem: Own the enterprise-level "Ops Stack." You are responsible for the integration of Monks systems that drive data integrity, from financial forecasting to real-time project tracking.
- AI Integration: Spearhead the "Production Transformation" roadmap. You will lead the shift from manual workflows to AI-augmented delivery, identifying opportunities for automation and generative efficiencies that redefine our value proposition.
- Standardisation: Enforce consistent application of Monks-approved workflows and tools to streamline cross-discipline collaboration, reduce rework and administrative overheads.
Talent & Community Leadership - Mentorship of Leaders: Provide high-level mentorship to Directors and Leads within the Production and Project Management disciplines, fostering a culture of high performance and radical accountability.
- Onboarding & Knowledge Equity: Ensure the agency's intellectual property-our "Way of Working"-is centralized, accessible, and forms the bedrock of our talent development strategy.
Key Executive Attributes - Commercial Acumen: You understand the "business of the business." Every operational decision you make is filtered through the lens of EBITDA and long-term growth.
- Visionary Problem Solving: You don't just fix current bottlenecks; you anticipate where the agency will break at $5M, $15M, or $50M in revenue and build the infrastructure to prevent it.
- Diplomatic Authority: You possess the executive presence to challenge the status quo and influence C-suite stakeholders, while remaining a champion for the delivery teams on the ground.
- Antifragility: You thrive in ambiguity and view market shifts (like the rise of AI) not as threats, but as levers to be pulled for operational dominance.

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
