Job Title: Oracle ERP DBA (Oracle EBS / APEX)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP DBA to support the DMAS accounting system, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and multiple Oracle APEX applications. This role involves database administration, system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and supporting production environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, EBS R12, and APEX, along with experience in cloud migrations and system administration across Linux and Windows platforms.
⚠️ Note: Candidates must be located within a 2-hour driving distance of Richmond, VA for occasional onsite meetings and critical activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR) environments
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases (version 19c)
- Support and deploy Oracle APEX applications (versions 21 & 24)
- Perform quarterly security patching, upgrades, and system maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database/system issues in a timely manner
- Handle Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and vendor coordination
- Manage database job scheduling and automation tasks
- Develop and maintain SQL/PLSQL scripts for data processing and automation
- Support migration of Oracle EBS and databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security best practices
- Work with development teams for deployments and enhancements
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration (19c)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12)
- Experience with Oracle APEX (versions 21 & 24) and workflow features
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience with database patching, upgrades, and maintenance
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and database best practices
- Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Experience in deploying APEX changes and managing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Unified Auditing
- Experience writing scripts for data loads and automation
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migrations
- Experience designing Oracle-based solutions
