Summary

Quality Assurance Technician

The QualityAssurance Technician is responsible for promoting the Quality ManagementSystem. They ensure that products are compliant to internal, customer, andindustry specifications. The Quality Assurance Technician will participate inthe customer contract review process, support Internal Audit Program, promotethe implementation of Corrective Actions, revise technical documents, analyzeinspection data, and report results to Management. They will support productrelease testing, gage calibration, customer DQR release, and other tasks asassigned.

Our Facility inWarren, RI is responsible for engineering and manufacturing some of theworld's most advanced sealing solutions.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for a broad range of Quality Assurance functions to include:
- Audit Program. Coordinate internal and external audits. Develop and train new internal audit Team members, outline audit plans, report deficiencies.
- Review, revise, create, and implement Quality Management Systems processes and written procedures.
- Develops, implements, and monitors data collection processes to detect trends in process control, identify root causes of process deviation, and implement corrective actions to reduce process variability while optimizing product quality. Communicate to Management the impact of process variation.
- Performs Customer Contract Review to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer purchase order requirements. Reviews technical data to ensure manufacturing and inspection processes can produce conforming products. Populates quality requirements compliance matrix and communicates applicable requirements to planning, production and inspection departments.
- Communicates special customer requirements to purchasing and supply chain to ensure customer requirements are met by suppliers.
- Collaborates with other functional areas to establish quality procedures for meeting customer requirements.

- Responsible for a broad range of Quality Control functions to include:
- Standardize inspection sampling plans to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry practices.
- Oversees inspection reporting, gage set-up, and roaming inspection support.
- Coordinate product release testing with Quality Control Technicians and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Participate in the Control of Non-Conforming Material process (MRB, RMA, Containment, RCCA).
- Support Control of Monitoring and Measurement Equipment Recalibration system
- Participate in MagSeal's Designated Quality Representative (DQR) program and release products on behalf of applicable customers per specified requirements.
- Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation.
- Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee's work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and acceptable attendance is an essential function of this job.

RequiredExperience/Education/Training/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of professional experience in a Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance Role.
- Familiarization with ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand frequently.

- Must be able to bend, squat and kneel occasionally.
- Must be able to reach outward frequently and reach above shoulder occasionally.
- Must be able to use fine manipulation occasionally.
- Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products occasionally.
- Finger dexterity to rotate parts occasionally.
- Able to read and write in English
- Must be able to push/pull up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 10 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to push/pull from 11 to20 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to lift/carry from 11 to20 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly.
- May come into contact with chemicals.

Work Environment and Safety EquipmentRequired:
- Office environment and Manufacturing Shop/Shipping atmosphere with open floor space, can be noisy at times, and is climate controlled.
- Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee's standard hours.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required.

ITAR/EAR Compliance:
This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export controllaws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent residentstatus, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability tomeet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.
