Job Description: WMS Business Analyst

Summary

The Softeon Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for supporting, managing, and resolving all issues, change requests, and projects related to the Softeon WMS platform. This role will work across multiple initiatives simultaneously, including one to two core projects, ongoing change requests, and daily operational issues. The BA will interact with both internal teams and external customers, providing end-to-end ownership of Softeon-related activities and escalating to the Softeon vendor (PTS) only when necessary.

Role & Responsibilities

Support / Training

Full ownership of all ServiceNow (SN) incidents through closure.

Identify and document system bugs or errors and work with Softeon vendor support (PTS) for resolution.

For data-related issues, collaborate with account management to ensure customers are notified and corrective actions are taken.

For process or procedural issues, notify operations and coordinate user or team retraining.

Provide daily business support, training, and answers to operational questions.

Perform and maintain:

  • Warehouse configuration and reconfiguration
  • Pick sequence setup and adjustments
  • Profile and security group setup/maintenance
  • New employee profile creation

Prepare documentation for new business requirements (BRD).

Create statements of work (SOW) and training guides.

Deliver training sessions for new functionality and enhancements.

Business Analysis

Lead all new client onboarding activities:

  • Document system setup, configuration changes, and implementation decisions.
  • Manage all change-management documents and processes.
  • Perform SKU setup and validation.
  • Configure warehouse layout and logic.
  • Set up pick configurations, routing, and workflows.
  • Create and modify pack slips.
  • Coordinate API key generation/management for TEST and PROD environments.
  • Maintain and update the issues log.
  • Provide status updates and communications to customers.

Manage customer change requests:

  • Maintain and prioritize the request log.
  • Partner with operations to align on project and change request prioritization.

Oversee Testing / UAT:

  • Adhere to formal testing and UAT procedures.
  • Create comprehensive UAT test scripts.
  • Execute testing for all setups and Softeon-developed enhancements.
  • Manage TCH approval workflows and sign-off procedures.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in information technology, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in supply chain, logistics, or distribution center operations.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or related technologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work backward from an issue to its root cause.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers.
  • Project management experience required.
  • High attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
