Description
The Back-End Developer will join a GenAI Discovery & Prototyping Team responsible for exploring new ideas, validating feasibility, and rapidly producing prototypes. This role is focused on building backend services, APIs, and integration layers that connect application prototypes to LLMs, cloud services, and internal data.
The engineer will work closely with front-end developers and business SMEs to create functional prototypes that test new concepts in diet formulation, feed management, agentic AI workflows, and other innovative areas.
This role emphasizes modularity, speed, and lightweight architecture, not production-scale engineering.

1. LLM Integration Experience (Must Have) o Experience calling, orchestrating, or integrating with LLM APIs o Understanding of how LLMs operate at a functional level
2. Strong C# Backend Engineering o Experience building modular APIs, libraries, and backend services o Strong grasp of cloud level API design and Web era patterns
3. Modern Software Engineering Principles o 12 factor app mindset o Modular architecture, event/message passing o API-first backend design
4. API Integration & Data Connectivity o Proven experience building backend layers that connect apps to data sources
5. POC Focused Engineering o Ability to rapidly build lightweight architectures for fast validation, MCP (Model Context Protocol) experience, Exposure to machine learning concepts, Experience in innovation labs, AI discovery teams, or rapid prototyping groups, Familiarity with Foundry or agentic AI workflows

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
