Blue Yonder WMS Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Blue Yonder (BY) WMS Techno-Functional Lead to join our team and drive the successful implementation, customization, integration, and support of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and stakeholder management skills, with approximately 70% focus on technical delivery and 30% on client engagement and coordination.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in BY WMS (formerly JDA WMS), MOCA, JDA Connect, integrations, and warehouse automation systems, while serving as the primary point of contact for client-facing discussions in the Pacific Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery (70%)

• Lead the implementation, configuration, customization, and support of Blue Yonder WMS solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom functionalities, workflows, and interfaces using MOCA scripting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to BY WMS implementations and integrations.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between BY WMS and enterprise systems including ERP, TMS, MES, and third-party applications.
• Utilize JDA Connect to analyze, monitor, troubleshoot, and debug integration processes.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using PL/SQL.
• Configure and support reporting solutions using Jasper Reports and labeling solutions using NiceLabel.
• Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical reviews.
• Identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and system enhancements.
• Create, execute, and validate test cases to ensure functionality, integration, and performance requirements are met.
• Support warehouse automation, WCS, and mechanized system integrations where applicable.

Stakeholder Management (30%)

• Act as the primary technical representative for client-facing discussions during PST business hours.
• Coordinate with client teams, vendors, program managers, and internal stakeholders on project activities.
• Track, raise, and manage defects, enhancement requests, and technical issues through resolution.
• Provide regular project status updates and technical progress reports to stakeholders.
• Facilitate requirement gathering, technical workshops, and solution walkthrough sessions.
• Ensure successful communication between business and technical teams throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS implementations and support.
• Strong knowledge of BY WMS versions 2019, 2024, and newer releases.

• Experience designing and supporting WMS integrations with ERP, TMS, MES, and third-party systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in BY WMS environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), warehouse automation, and mechanized material handling systems.
• Prior experience leading BY WMS implementation or upgrade projects.
• Experience working directly with customer stakeholders and executive teams.
• Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and distribution center operations.
