Summary

Role: Senior IAM Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Bethesda, MD

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior IAM Engineer will perform day-to-day integrations with the Ping Federate and Ping Access environments based on customer requirements in a timely manner and showcases working knowledge of PingOne SaaS services including DaVinci. Interacts with customers on a regular basis to understand their use cases, guide them to align with IAM standards, and work with them to make appropriate changes in our Ping Federate and Ping Access environments. Performs routine maintenance of Ping Fed and Ping Access products and is able to upgrade or patch as operational needs require. Brings experience in incident troubleshooting for application issues, product debugging, and L3 support as an SME, along with working knowledge of LDAP, directories like Radiantlogic, Microsoft Active Directory, or any cloud directory as a must, and showcases good verbal and written communication skills.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience/certification
  • 7+ years Information Technology experience with at least 5 years in IAM function
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix and Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols
  • 5-8 years of Ping Federate, Ping Access experience with installation/deployment and extensive application policy integrations

Preferred

  • Current relevant information security certification, (e.g. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Deployment experience in AWS cloud and VM environments
  • Experience working in a globally distributed enterprise environment
  • Experience with monitoring use case implementation methodologies
  • 2-3 years of directory (AD, VDS etc.) integration experience
  • Concepts like multifactor authentication should be known, and deployment experience with any vendor product is acceptable
  • Basic code development skills

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects
  • Reviews completeness of requirements prior to client or internal solutioning
  • Participates with the customers or internal team in planning and coordinating implementation, reviewing quality control of systems functional design, usability, functionality, and implementation
  • Provides input to support change management efforts as it relates to support and training of new system
  • Coordinates with appropriate IT and vendor relations teams
  • Provides consultation for routine systems development
  • Provides early warning to the leadership regarding degraded or missed service level issues or potential project delays
