Job Details

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Perform repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of laser systems at customer sites.
Provide remote and onsite technical support to clinical and commercial customers.
Respond to customer service calls and diagnose equipment issues.
Coordinate replacement parts and service activities with internal teams.
Analyze service trends and proactively address recurring equipment issues.
Ensure maximum equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical teams, and healthcare staff.
Document service activities and assist with development of service procedures.
Support creation and improvement of field service tools and testing equipment.
Assist with training and mentoring field support personnel.
Manage territory schedule independently and prioritize service requests.
Maintain compliance with customer site access requirements.
Travel regionally, domestically, and internationally as needed.
Follow safety procedures when working around lasers and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications Needed:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3+ years of Field Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Technical Support experience supporting complex electrical/electronic equipment.
Minimum 3+ years of Medical Device industry experience, preferably involving laser and optical systems.
Hands-on experience utilizing electronic diagnostic and test equipment.
Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, laser, or optoelectronic systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, schematics, and service procedures.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and field repair methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including occasional weekends.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Strong understanding of customer-facing service environments within hospitals, surgery centers, or healthcare facilities.
