Position: Principal Solution Architect
Location: Austin/Charlotte/NYC/San Diego (Locals only)
We re seeking a Solution Architect with deep AWS cloud architecture expertise to drive large-scale modernization and M&A integration initiatives. You ll lead end-to-end solution architecture from concept through implementation across complex, distributed enterprise systems in wealth management and financial services domains.
You ll work closely with cross-domain architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to build domain-driven, service-based solutions that are secure, scalable, and align with enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise architecture design for M&A integrations and enterprise transformation programs, focusing exclusively on AWS-based solutions.
- Partner with engineering teams to guide architecture decisions, ensuring technical alignment and adherence to standards.
- Define and maintain blueprint architectures and multi-year transition plans that enable modernization.
- Drive architecture governance, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency across teams.
- Collaborate with product and business teams early in the lifecycle to embed architecture thinking (functional and non-functional).
- Develop high-level and detailed architecture designs covering API, data, and integration layers.
- Promote reuse of code, components, and proven patterns for faster delivery and higher consistency.
- Advocate DevSecOps and Continuous Delivery best practices across teams.
- Support Agile portfolio and value stream design, partnering with LPM and ACDC teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on cloud modernization strategies.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT design and implementation experience.
- 3+ years as a Solution Architect in large-scale, enterprise systems.
- Hands-on AWS Cloud experience is mandatory other cloud platforms will not be considered.
- Expertise with AWS services: EKS, Lambda, Glue, RDS, S3, and CloudFormation/Terraform.
- Deep experience in microservices, API-first, and event-driven architectures (Kafka or Kinesis).
- Strong background in .NET-based application architectures.
- Proven experience in cloud migrations (refactor, re-architect, re-platform) using 12-factor methodology.
- Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and security best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps automation and containerization.
- Financial or Wealth Management domain experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- Experience supporting M&A integration and enterprise-scale modernization.
- Knowledge of Agile/SAFe, architecture governance, and API management frameworks.
