Job DetailsThe Product Development Engineer supports all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept and initial design through testing and transition to production, working on both design updates and clean-sheet developments in high-performance environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of product design, from concept development through documentation and release
- Perform analytical evaluations using calculations and modeling techniques
- Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, and design review documentation
- Develop fabrication methods, work instructions, and risk/compliance documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and budget considerations
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers as needed
- Support proposal development and business development activities
Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in a regulated environment with applicable compliance requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering discipline
- Proficient with CAD, simulation, and analysis tools used for mechanical design and evaluation
- Experience with engineering analysis methods such as FEA and CFD preferred
- Hands-on experience with design for manufacturability and prototype fabrication or testing desired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
