• Location: Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
• Interview Type: Either Webcam Interview or In Person
• FL-DOH-Duval County-Medical Assistants - Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
• FL-DOH-Duval County-Medical Assistants
• Work Environment: Open workstation and clinical area
• Dress Code: Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue
• Computer Software: Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office
• Educational Requirements: Must have Medical Assistant Certification

Skill Matrix:

• 1 year of experience in ability to speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
• 1 year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
• Have completed and passed a medical assistant program.
• Skilled at taking and reading accurate blood pressures.
• Experience distributing prescribed medications to patients.
• Experience interviewing patients to obtain complete medical histories.
• Experience in phlebotomy administering IM and Subcutaneous injections.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
• Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
• Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Distribute prescribed medications
• Effective communication skills
