With revenues exceeding $40 billion and the largest R&D investment in the industry, we provide the scale, resources, and global reach for you to make a significant impact.

If you are passionate about how finance, data solutions, data science, analytics, and visualization intersect to tell compelling stories and drive strategic decision-making within a world-leading life sciences company, this is an opportunity to lead at scale.

As part of the Finance Digital Transformation organization, the Senior Manager, Data Analytics will set the vision and lead the execution of advanced analytics initiatives across a highly matrixed global organization. The successful candidate will bring a combination of strategic thinking, technical depth, and strong leadership to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the analytics and data science strategy aligned with Finance Digital Transformation and broader enterprise priorities
  • Partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to identify high-value opportunities and translate business challenges into data-driven solutions
  • Drive the development and adoption of predictive models, advanced analytics, and scalable data products that inform enterprise decision-making
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of data science initiatives-from ideation and data strategy to modeling, visualization, and business adoption
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, data engineering, and analytics delivery, ensuring scalability, reliability, and governance
  • Provide strategic oversight of ETL architecture and data pipelines using Python, Power BI, and related technologies
  • Lead complex, multi-project portfolios, ensuring alignment to priorities, resource optimization, and timely delivery of outcomes
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytics, automation, and machine learning capabilities
  • Influence and drive adoption of Agile methodologies and modern data practices across the organization
  • Serve as a key thought leader and translator between technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, Business Administration, or related); Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles, with significant experience leading teams and large-scale initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in defining analytics strategy and delivering measurable business impact (revenue growth, cost optimization, or operational efficiency)
  • Deep technical expertise in Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SAS Analytics)
  • Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and building scalable data and analytics solutions
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence across a global, matrixed organization and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading transformation initiatives
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a plus
  • Strong foundation in statistical methods, including hypothesis testing and experimental design
  • Minimal travel required (<10%)
