Job Description:
Position: Project Manager
Location: Blythewood, SC 29016 (Hybrid)
Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week
Duration: 12 months contract (with possible extension)
Interview Process: 2 Rounds - Initial Phone Call Screening followed by a REQUIRED In Person Interview
Responsibilities:
Serves as IT project manager for assigned projects. For non-IT-driven projects, the role will serve as project manager for IT-assigned deliverables.
· Manages assigned IT projects and coordinates with all stakeholders from inception to completion to achieve the desired outcome.
· Works with the project team to identify and document project scope/charter, budget (where applicable), resources, project schedules including milestones and risks, and project deliverables.
· Establishes meeting cadence for each project to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
· Maintains project team accountability through tracking budget, milestones, risk mitigation actions, issues, and task assignments. Escalates issues in a timely manner to applicable stakeholders.
· Collaborates with others to establish project meeting agendas and produces project team meeting notes, including providing project status updates and reports to stakeholders.
· Closes out each project in a timely and orderly manner, with documentation of lessons learned and finalizing essential project documentation.
· Maintains an accurate master IT project list.
· Produces required IT project-related presentations and supplemental materials for meetings, including steering committee and strategic planning meetings.
Required skills:
· PMP certification
· 5+ years of project management experience
· 3+ years of project management experience managing enterprise-level IT projects
· 1+ year of experience with ServiceNow
· 3+ years of experience with budgeting
Preferred skills:
· Experience managing system modernization initiatives
· Experience working with state agencies
· Experience collaborating with external vendors
Required education:
A bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, information technology, or another related field of study.
Required certifications:
PMP
