Data Analyst role will play a critical role in supporting enterprisereporting initiatives by translating legacy reporting logic into modern,scalable Power BI solutions. This position is responsible for analyzinghistorical reports, defining key metrics, documenting data requirements, andcollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, high-quality datadelivery. The analyst will work closely with data engineers, architects, andPower BI developers to define requirements, validate data outputs, and resolvedata quality issues. A strong background in healthcare data, enterprise dataenvironments, and advanced analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, and DAX isessential for success in this role.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Partner with business sponsors to gather, analyze, and document detailed datarequirements, including key performance indicators (KPIs) to support reportingneeds.
Conduct thorough analysis of legacy reports to identify underlying datasources, business logic, and metric definitions.
Convert legacy report logic into clear specifications aligned with moderndata models and Power BI architecture.
Contribute to the definition of data elements and assist in designing semanticlayers that enable scalable and consistent reporting.
Develop and maintain mapping documentation between legacy data structures andnew enterprise data warehouse schemas.
Collaborate with data engineers and solution architects to ensure datapipelines are optimized for reporting and analytics use cases.
Work in close coordination with Power BI developers to support the accurateand timely delivery of dashboards and visualizations.
Perform data validation and testing to ensure report outputs are accurate,consistent, and meet business expectations.
Identify and investigate data quality issues, partnering with technical teamsto resolve discrepancies and improve data reliability.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, HealthcareInformatics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar rolewith a focus on enterprise reporting and metrics development.
Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly withclinical, financial, or operational data.
Skilled in working with large, complex datasets within enterprise dataenvironments.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience withplatforms such as Azure and Databricks.
Comfortable operating in large enterprise settings, with cross-functionalcollaboration across business and technical teams.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as AHA and Azure DevOpsfor managing requirements and development workflows.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in DAX for developing calculated columns, measures, and advanceddata modeling in Power BI.
Strong grasp of data governance principles and best practices for ensuringdata quality, consistency, and integrity.
Deep understanding of data visualization techniques, with hands-on experiencedesigning intuitive and impactful dashboards in Power BI.
Skilled in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis acrossdiverse data sources.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technicalconcepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights thatsupport decision-making and performance improvement.
Effective stakeholder engagement and management, including requirementsgathering, feedback facilitation, and solution alignment.
