Senior SDET

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Irving, TX that is seeking a Senior SDET.

Core Responsibilities:
* Act as a senior SDET and quality leader driving testing strategy, tooling standards, and best practices across squads
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks with a strong focus on API, GraphQL, and performance testing
* Build robust automated tests using TypeScript, covering functional, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional scenarios
* Lead API testing efforts for REST and GraphQL services, including schema validation, contract testing, and data integrity checks
* Design and execute performance and load testing strategies to validate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness
* Champion modern AI-driven testing workflows, demonstrating how AI meaningfully improves test effectiveness and efficiency beyond basic test refactoring
* Leverage AI for test case generation, pairwise testing, coverage gap identification, and exploratory testing acceleration
* Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and architects to embed testing early in the SDLC
* Establish reusable testing standards, patterns, and documentation that scale across teams
* Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions as a quality advocate
* Troubleshoot test failures, environment issues, and data-related defects across distributed systems
* Evangelize quality engineering best practices across the organization through mentorship, documentation, and technical influence

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6-9+ years of experience as an SDET or Senior QA Engineer in complex, modern software environments
* Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript-based test automation
* Solid experience testing APIs and GraphQL services, including functional, integration, and contract testing
* Proven experience with performance and load testing in distributed systems
* Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior IC who leads standards and influences teams without direct authority
* Strong understanding of test design techniques, including boundary analysis, pairwise testing, and risk-based testing
* Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain quality risks and testing strategies to technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment

AI-Focused Requirements (Critical):
* Must clearly demonstrate how AI has changed your testing workflow, not just accelerated existing tests.
* Experience with modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AWS Bedrock, or similar platforms in day-to-day testing work

Hands-on experience using AI for:
* Test case generation and expansion
* Pairwise or combinatorial testing
* Identifying test coverage gaps
* Improving exploratory and regression testing effectiveness

Preferred/Nice to Have:
* Experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing
* Prior experience in financial services, consumer lending, or regulated environments
* Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
* Familiarity with cloud-native architectures
* Strong documentation and standards-authoring experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
