Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Test Lead for a position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert with deep functional and technical knowledge of assigned applications. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Development and Product teams to lead and govern testing efforts, define comprehensive test strategies, and ensure quality outcomes for business change initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with deep functional and technical knowledge of assigned applications; partner closely with Development and Product teams to ensure quality outcomes
  • Lead and govern testing efforts across business change initiatives, aligning with change management activities and contributing to overall release readiness plans
  • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensure appropriate coverage, analyze results, and provide guidance on quality risks and release decisions
  • Mentor and coach junior team members; drive testing best practices, foster a culture of learning, and champion continuous improvement and testing excellence
  • Assess the impact of new or modified requirements on existing and new systems, ensuring risks and dependencies are identified early
  • Proactively identify project bottlenecks, risks, and impediments; track issues to resolution and escalate when necessary
  • Oversee defect management end to end, including identification of edge cases, prioritization, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking
  • Ensure testing dependencies, risks, and quality concerns are clearly documented, communicated, and actively managed
  • Act as the primary escalation point for testing-related issues that may impact scope, timeline, or delivery quality
  • Leverage enterprise testing and delivery tools such as JIRA and ALM Octane for planning, execution, reporting, and governance
  • Provide guidance on test automation strategy and adoption, ensuring alignment with overall quality and delivery objectives
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with leadership, business partners, customers, and external teams as required
  • Develop and maintain the System Test Plan, including risk assessments, test approach, and documented workarounds where applicable

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in QA processes, testing standards, and delivery quality governance in complex environments
  • Strong command of test planning, execution, defect management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery models
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills with a risk based mindset
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
  • Ability to work effectively across distributed teams and drive quality initiatives in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with Selenium and Jira
  • Experience with Functional/Manual Testing

Desired skills:
  • SDM/Horizon automation
  • Knowledge of IBM Connect:Direct
  • Knowledge IBM/Sterling's Sterling Integrator 5.x/6.x
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Bitbucket
  • Experience with Cucumber

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
