Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Care Coordination Business Analyst/Solution Consultant to support an ambulatory care transformation initiative. The consultant will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to document current-state business processes, identify opportunities for automation, evaluate Epic capabilities, and define future-state workflows. This role will lead fit-gap analysis, business requirements gathering, and solution design with a strong focus on Epic Care Coordination modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document and validate current-state ambulatory care coordination workflows and business processes.
• Analyze existing manual processes and identify opportunities for automation using Epic functionality and supporting technologies.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis between current business processes and Epic capabilities.
• Lead future-state workflow design sessions with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate business requirements gathering and translate operational needs into functional requirements.

Provide subject matter expertise on Epic Care Coordination solutions, including:

• Compass Rose
• Phoenix
• Workbench
• Recommend scalable, standardized solutions that align with Epic best practices.
• Collaborate with application analysts, architects, project managers, and business leaders to define solution options.
• Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, functional specifications, and business requirement documentation.
• Identify workflow improvements that enhance care coordination, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.
• Support solution validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation planning.
• Ensure solutions align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and Epic implementation standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of healthcare IT or healthcare operations experience with a focus on ambulatory care coordination.
• Strong knowledge of Epic Care Coordination workflows and functionality.
• Hands-on experience with Epic modules such as Compass Rose, Phoenix, and Workbench.
• Proven experience conducting fit-gap analysis and future-state solution design.
• Experience documenting current-state processes and developing business requirements.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, care management, referral management, and population health.
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic certification(s) in relevant ambulatory or care coordination applications.
• Experience with workflow automation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Familiarity with Epic reporting and operational dashboards.
