What You Will Do

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design ,test and sustain electronic Printed Circuit Board (PCBs) assemblies and components. You will conduct schematic design and layout using CAD software, Altium, to meet specific documented hardware requirements. This position is onsite at our New Freedom, PA, facility. Candidates must be commuting distance or able to relocate. We have various relocation packages depending on your needs.

Johnson Controls Advanced Development and Engineering Center (JADEC)

How You Will Do It
  • Develop and maintain PCBA for chiller applications including Variable Speed Drive (VSD) boards and chiller control boards.
  • Design of analog & digital interface circuits, power supply circuits with MCU & FPGA onboard.
  • Participate circuit analysis and incorporate appropriate reliability principles into PCBA design.
  • Design and maintain PCBAs including both schematic and layout using design tools such as Altium.

What You Will Need
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of PCB design and layout experience
  • Experience using Altium
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment

Preferred
  • Familiarity with LabView software
  • Familiarity with test fixture design
  • Familiarity with signal integrity tools
  • Experience with programmable logic
  • Experience with power electronics hardware design

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
