Job Description

he scope of work under this proposal requires Cyient to place one Manual Testing Support Engineer at Brea - CA location to support RAVE Aerospace customer. The service duration is initially 12 months, with potential extensions thereafter Detailed Scope of Work: The resource(s) will be responsible for manual testing of the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system, focusing on validating system functionality, identifying defects, and ensuring overall product quality across various features and user scenarios. The resource(s) will execute testing activities across different environments and configurations, ensuring the IFE system meets functional, usability, and reliability requirements. This includes testing IFE features, user interface behavior, connectivity features, and system integrations as applicable. Main Responsibilities & Deliverables: 1. Design and execute manual test cases based on IFE system requirements and expected user behavior. 2. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of the IFE system across supported platforms and configurations. 3. Identify, document, and report defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, logs, and supporting evidence. 4. Track defects through their lifecycle, including validation of fixes and closure of tickets upon successful verification. 5. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, usability issues, and system inconsistencies. 6. Validate system performance from an end-user perspective, including responsiveness and media playback behavior. 7. Verify system behavior in different operational scenarios (e.g., offline mode, connectivity interruptions, hardware interactions). 8. Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports. 9. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify issues and ensure timely resolution of defects. 10. Support release validation activities to ensure the system is stable and ready for deployment. 11. Ensure compliance with quality standards and provide feedback for continuous improvement of the IFE system. Experience and academic Requirements: At least 10 +years' experience in System & Integration Tester of various releases in IFE domain and support activities BS degree in electrical or electronics engineering
