Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Physical Security Systems Engineer / Architect with strong expertise in enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and integrated physical security technologies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise security solutions across access control, video surveillance, credentialing, vehicle security, emergency mustering, and related physical security infrastructure.

Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, chemical, energy, or other complex operating environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise physical security and PACS solutions.
  • Provide hands-on expertise with one or more enterprise platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2 OnGuard, C CURE 9000, or Honeywell Pro-Watch.
  • Develop access-control designs covering clearance models, security zones, anti-passback, multi-factor readers, mantraps, and turnstiles.
  • Design and support credential technologies including HID Seos, DESFire, mobile credentials, and badge lifecycle management.
  • Develop video surveillance solutions including camera placement, VMS configuration, video retention requirements, and analytics tuning.
  • Design ALPR/LPR and vehicle gate solutions, including lane layouts, camera positioning, intercoms, and exception workflows.
  • Design emergency mustering solutions with consideration for offline operation and muster-point hardware.
  • Support physical security deployments in industrial or hazardous environments.
  • Collaborate with security integrators, engineering teams, site stakeholders, and other technical teams throughout implementation.
  • Support multi-site and global security technology rollouts, including legacy PACS migrations and badge cutover activities.
  • Review system designs and ensure implementation quality and compliance with approved standards.
  • Develop technical design documentation, door schedules, architecture documentation, commissioning plans, and test procedures.
  • Supervise and validate integrator activities during deployment, testing, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot complex physical security system and integration issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise PACS / physical access control systems.
  • Deep expertise with at least one major PACS platform such as:
    • Genetec Security Center
    • LenelS2 OnGuard
    • C CURE 9000
    • Honeywell Pro-Watch
  • Strong knowledge of access control architecture and security design.
  • Experience with enterprise video surveillance / VMS technologies.
  • Knowledge of credential technologies such as HID Seos, DESFire, or mobile credentials.
  • Experience with ALPR/LPR, vehicle gates, intercoms, or related perimeter security technologies.
  • Experience developing technical designs, schedules, commissioning plans, and testing documentation.
  • Strong experience working with security system integrators and managing implementation quality.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, chemical, manufacturing, energy, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with hazardous-area security equipment, including ATEX or Class I Division 2 environments.
  • Experience with emergency mustering systems.
  • Experience with global/multi-site security deployments.
  • Experience with legacy PACS migration and badge cutover planning.
  • Familiarity with CFATS, MTSA, or ISO 27001 physical security controls.
  • Relevant PACS/security technology certifications are a plus.
