About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager who loves retail and has a passion for delivering best-in-class digital experiences for consumers. You will own the consumer-facing website experience end to end - from landing and discovery through product detail, cart, and checkout - as a globally scalable platform capability rather than a collection of country-specific implementations.

• Own the technical product definition for the website experience and platform. Take the consumer and commercial strategy set with Commercial and Product leadership and translate it into a technically coherent, well-sequenced platform roadmap. You are expected to shape that strategy with technical insight - surfacing what has become newly possible, what is more expensive than it looks, and what is structurally in the way - not simply to receive it and schedule it.
• Bring platform coherence to a market-divergent estate. Move today's fragmented, country-by-country site experiences toward a configurable product that new markets and brands can adopt without bespoke engineering. Build alignment across a wide group of stakeholders behind that direction, including when it means a market gives up a local variation.
• Own the storefront experience surfaces: home and landing pages, category and search results, product detail, cart, checkout, and the authenticated account experience - including how they compose with content, merchandising, personalization, and identity.
• Build relationships with external partners and vendors to support our vision and roadmaps. Today our partners include but are not limited to commerce platform, search and merchandising, product content, ratings and reviews, content management, experimentation, and CDN/edge providers.
• Partner with Commercial, Product and Engineering teams in translating commercial goals and the platform vision into a well-sequenced, global roadmap:
  • Balance foundational platform needs against market-specific and campaign-specific use cases.
  • Identify opportunities, partner to establish ROI, and prioritize and negotiate initiatives that deliver on the vision and strategy.
  • Ensure the roadmap includes technical health, performance, and scalability - not only net-new features.
  • Ensure the roadmap accounts for and integrates dependencies across functions and adjacent product roadmaps.
• Own the dependency picture for everything you ship. The storefront is one participant in a much wider estate - order management, product content, identity and loyalty, customer care tooling, fraud and payments, tax, and outbound feeds to third parties all touch or consume the same data. Work that looks self-contained rarely is.
  • Uncover dependencies early and deliberately. Go find the systems and teams that consume what you change, including the non-storefront consumers nobody thinks to mention. Treat an incomplete dependency map as an open risk, not a detail to resolve in the sprint.
  • Reduce dependencies structurally. Prefer clear contracts, stable interfaces, and asynchronous integration over coordinated releases and shared timelines. Push back on scope that introduces new coupling when a looser design would do.
  • Sequence honestly around the dependencies that remain. Negotiate with owning teams for real commitments, make the critical path and its assumptions visible, and surface conflicts early rather than absorbing them into your own dates.
  • Work well with the teams you depend on. Give them enough context and lead time to plan, respect their priorities, and escalate through the right channel when a dependency genuinely cannot be met.
• Make non-functional requirements first-class product requirements. Own the definition and enforcement of standards for:
  • Accessibility - WCAG 2.2 AA conformance as an acceptance criterion, with a defensible compliance posture for regulatory regimes including the European Accessibility Act.
  • Site performance - Core Web Vitals and page-level performance budgets defined per experience and validated before release.
  • SEO - technical SEO requirements (URL structure, canonicalization, structured data, redirects, indexability) owned explicitly rather than assumed.
  • Analytics instrumentation - measurement defined as part of the requirement, not retrofitted after launch.
• Build high-trust, mutually collaborative relationships with stakeholders to drive results:
  • Partner with all stakeholders to elicit business needs, outcomes, and value, and ensure the roadmap is aligned to those needs as well as to adjacent product roadmaps.
  • Provide strategic advice on how to respond to stakeholders' business challenges, including when the right answer is a tradeoff rather than additional scope.
  • Partner within Technology to deliver the roadmap and achieve projected value.
  • Represent the team in reviews with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization and ensure minimal time to value.
• Establish a consistent prioritization process that clearly communicates the website roadmap, objectives, priorities, and decisions across a wide group of stakeholders:
  • Ground your product vision in data. Draw insights from conversion funnels, site performance, search and browse behavior, and experimentation results to iterate quickly; forecast and validate impact.
  • Act as the product evangelist to demonstrate commercial impact and value with a compelling, data-driven narrative.
  • Track value delivered, adoption, performance, and execution against the end-to-end roadmap, and adjust next steps as necessary.
• Drive adherence to all standard TPM ways of working:
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including operational readiness and post-launch quality of the experiences you own.
  • Benchmark LS&CO capabilities against industry trends and best practices.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes in partnership with engineering and architecture.
  • Define OKRs; scope and prioritize activities based on forecasted impact.
  • Act as an agent of change within and outside your team, challenging the status quo and embracing new methodologies toward better outcomes.

About You

• Experienced technical product manager with 8+ years of experience, including direct ownership of consumer-facing e-commerce website or digital storefront products.
• Subject matter expertise across the storefront domain: discovery and on-site search, category and product detail experiences, cart and checkout conversion, content and merchandising workflows, and authenticated account experiences.
• Hands-on experience with a commerce platform migration or replatform, and with launching or onboarding additional countries or brands onto a shared platform. You understand the difference between shipping a market and building the capability to ship markets repeatably.
• A track record of finding dependencies before they become schedule risk, and of simplifying them rather than just tracking them. You can read an integration or data-flow diagram, reason about upstream and downstream consumers, and hold your own in a design conversation about where a boundary belongs.
• Working fluency in the non-functional disciplines that determine whether a site is actually good: accessibility standards and remediation, performance budgets and Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, localization, and privacy/consent requirements such as GDPR.
• Comfort with modern storefront architecture - headless and composable commerce, APIs and integration patterns, CDN and edge behavior, feature flags, and progressive rollout - sufficient to hold a substantive design conversation with engineering and to reason about tradeoffs independently.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and to drive action. Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects, including work distributed across time zones and delivered with vendor or partner teams.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the credibility to say no to a senior stakeholder and explain the reasoning.
