The Role
The NetApp Trident team at NetApp is seeking a talented software engineer who thrives as part of a high-performing software development team. As an engineer with a passion for writing high-quality code, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of major features for our containerized storage solution. You will be driving innovation, learning new skills, and contributing to open-source software. You will be a team player and a problem solver. You will promote software engineering best practices. You will work with a cross-functional team to identify and prioritize initiatives to solve complex problems. You will be working on designing and implementing AI driven applications and championing AI adoption across teams.

The target salary range for this position is 159,800 - 237,600 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings' (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications
- 5+ years of programming experience in Go.
- 5+ years of programming experience in Python.
- Experience developing in a Kubernetes and/or Cloud service (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) environment, as well as a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Experience with Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems with ability to troubleshoot network issues.
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI build systems and Automated Testing frameworks.
- Experience in Agile Software Development practices.
- Strong understanding of data structures, software engineering concepts and programming best practices.
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with peers and non-technical people alike.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in open-source communities.
- Experience with NetApp storage or cloud native storage platforms.
