Job Description

We are looking for an experienced OCI Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for a large financial services environment. This role focuses on OCI architecture, operations, security, automation, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

OCI Architecture & Operations

• Design, build, and support OCI infrastructure for production environments
• Manage OCI networking and security for high availability and disaster recovery
• Research, establish, and troubleshoot connectivity within OCI and with external clouds
• list IPs and URLs across cloud environments
• Support day-to-day production operations along with ongoing OCI re-architecture efforts, including building a secondary OCI region for DR

Deployment & Platform Engineering

• Deploy and support multi-tier applications using OCI IaaS and PaaS services
• Work with Compute, Storage, Databases, Backup, Networking, Load Balancers, and IAM/IDCS
• Ensure platform performance, availability, and security best practices

Cloud Security & Compliance

• Implement and manage cloud security controls such as:
• Tenancy isolation
• Encryption at rest and in transit
• Key management
• Vulnerability assessments
• Application firewalls
• Enforce least-privilege access using IAM policies and IAM Domains
• Configure ingress/egress rules, security lists, and organizational guardrails

Automation, Monitoring & Operational Excellence

• Monitor OCI alerts, alarms, and system health; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively
• Create and maintain automated alerts and custom health checks
• Enhance monitoring jobs that forward logs to SIEM tools
• Investigate and resolve performance issues (CPU spikes, instance outages, access alerts, etc.)
• Use shell scripting or Python to enhance monitoring and automation workflows

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Deep understanding of OCI Networking, Security, IAM, and Monitoring
• Experience supporting production systems in regulated or financial environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities (BAU, production support, and new initiatives)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OCI FastConnect

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and GitHub integration
