Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Project Manager with our client located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities: - Support the Network Operations and Security Operations Centers' application development
- Work with the business stakeholders (subject matter experts in various Network Operations teams) to understand system needs, requirements, NOC process and act as a liaison with the IT development team and the Program Team
- Represent Network Operations needs and priorities within the overall Program
- Make a significant and immediate impact facilitating the routine delivery of system improvements including communications, documentation, testing and implementation
- Develop and manage the project budget, schedule, and operating procedures, and gather and report consolidated project status and financial information
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects and be accountable for execution within the defined project constraints
- Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements
- Ensure functionality is consistent between teams where applicable and team specific functionality doesn't impact other teams
- Coordinate requirements gathering between multiple stakeholder teams; write user stories; understand acceptance criteria
- Coordinate user testing; document test cases; facilitate testing as needed; track progress; coordinate bug-fix priorities and delivery
- Work closely with the IT team while representing business stakeholders
- Coordinate internal resources and Telco Operators/third parties/vendors for the execution of projects; involve all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes while successfully managing the relationship with the clients and all other stakeholders
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Create and maintain process and procedure documentation
- Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditure
- Provide weekly reports on activities and project status
- Efficiently manage assigned projects to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
- Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
- Collaborate with others in open and productive dialogues across cross functional teams' initiatives
- Provide direction and guidance to operations support engineers that are supporting the Network Operations Centers
- Ensure resource availability and allocation to meet priorities and demands of the business
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross team projects
- 7+ years of strong technical experience
- Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
- Able to read, understand and apply technical standards
- Able to understand, interpret, relay, and conduct technical network discussions
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in Telecom service delivery standards
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Quick learner with excellent written and verbal communication and analytical problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, multi-task, and cope with deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in project planning and life cycle development tools
- Success managing both IT and Business projects
Desired skills: - Project management experience in telecommunications
- Experience or knowledge of Network Operations
- Proficient in JIRA
- Experience in an Agile development environment
Pay Range: $45.00 - $50.00
