Position Summary
The Senior Software Development Engineer will be responsible for development and support of full life-cycle object oriented software, specifically development and implementation of the Loyalty and Personalization applications. The right candidate will document software user requirements, development of programming using J2EE technologies particularly Campaign Management Tool and object oriented databases (OODBMS), testing and implementation with Teradata platform and tools. You will work closely with Loyalty & Personalization, Store & Marketing Operations, Digital and Rx Operations business and technical teams to deliver functionality and value to the Loyalty and Personalization program.

In this role, the Senior Software Development Engineer will evaluate package solutions and participate in selection of solutions to meet business needs and architecture standards. The candidate will design & Implement technical solutions to business functional requirements by leveraging backend frameworks (e.g. Spring, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell Scripts) to support enterprise level Personalization initiatives. You will communicate technical material to a non-technical business audience. The Senior Software Development Engineer will work closely with the Loyalty & Personalization Program Management and Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are fully understood and documented in order to deliver quality design deliverables.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, Continuous integration experience, code test coverage, security compliance and source control using Maven, Jenkins, GHA
  • 5 + years of experience in Java, J2EE Design Patterns, Object-Oriented design , Cloud Native development and code Optimizations
  • 5 + years of experience in building and consuming stateless Micro Services using Spring framework and deploy within Cloud platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in creating functional and technical design specifications; data modeling, database tuning; Oracle; Teradata; ETL software & Utilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working on CRM, Loyalty, Personalization domain
  • 5 + years of experience in building and consuming stateless Micro Services using Spring framework and deploy within Cloud platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in creating functional and technical design specifications; data modeling, database tuning; Oracle; Teradata; ETL software & Utilities
  • 5+ years of experience in technical aspect of operations related to escalated or high severity issues as they affect or confront the team

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
