Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Production Support Engineer with 8+ years of IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in mainframe production support, batch monitoring, database record verification, and terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support mainframe batch jobs to ensure successful execution.
Perform regular batch monitoring, job status checks, and troubleshooting.
Conduct database record checks and validate data accuracy.
Perform terminal checks and operational support using IBM 3270 terminals.
Monitor daily mainframe production activities and identify job failures.
Troubleshoot batch processing issues and escalate critical incidents when necessary.
Support production operations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Maintain operational documentation and provide regular status updates.
Required Skills
8+ years of overall IT experience.
Strong experience in mainframe production support.
Hands-on experience with batch job monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience performing database record checks.
Working knowledge of IBM 3270 terminal operations.
Experience with terminal checks and batch job execution.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote support environment
