Lead Oracle Developer

The Lead Oracle Developer is responsible for creating and driving the technical design, development, and delivery of software solutions for complex business needs. This role provides hands-on Oracle development expertise, leads problem resolution, and guides team members while ensuring high-quality code, performance, and documentation across large Oracle environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions.

• Propose and design software solutions that address complex business and data needs.

• Prepare required technical and procedural documentation.

• Facilitate the resolution of complex technical issues and production problems.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to colleagues and project teams.

• Review coding, testing deliverables, and documentation for quality and standards alignment.

• Apply modern development principles, methodologies, and tools to support business initiatives and enhance technical capabilities.

Must-Have Technical Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development and solution delivery
• Expert-level Oracle database development (PL/SQL).

• Strong experience performance tuning Oracle queries.

• Extensive experience with database design and programming for very large Oracle datasets.

• Solid knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.

• Background with banking applications (preferably regulatory) handling large data volumes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other databases (e.g., Teradata).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools.

• ETL experience, especially Informatica.

• Experience with Python or Shell scripting.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Relevant certifications (preferred):

  • Oracle OCP / OCE (DBA or PL/SQL)

  • Oracle Exadata

  • Oracle GoldenGate
